Bat Shalom North was formed in 1993, by Jewish and Palestinian women from the kibbutzim, moshavim, villages and towns in the region of northern Israel known as Megiddo, Nazareth and the Valleys. The group identified the need to work together toward full equality of rights between Jewish and Arab citizens of Israel. We, the Jewish and Palestinian Israeli women of Bat Shalom, call upon all women to join our active struggle for peace and equality. We refuse to silently bear witness to the destruction of the hope and future of a peaceful reconciliation.

Critical Mass has a very different flavor from city to city; there's a big variety in size, respect of traffic laws (or lack thereof), interaction with motorists, and intervention by police. Visit the Critical Mass Hub Website if you want to know more about Critical Mass. Nathan participated in Critical Mass actions in Sydney in the '90s.

Dropping Knowledge
(www.droppingknowledge.org)

Questions can change the world dropping knowledge is an intercultural platform for multiple viewpoints, open to every citizen of the world. We challenge the notion that only the media and certain experts can speak out on important matters. We think that the exchange of ideas, insights, values and opinions by free voices around the world can create a foundation of wisdom that grows, inspires and benefits us all. We call the practice of asking questions and sharing wisdom dropping knowledge. To us, it means questioning conventional ways of thinking and acting. It means dropping the assumption we know the answers and making room for fresh thoughts and solutions. However you define knowledge, by dropping it freely to others, we all gain wisdom.

Free Energy Sources
(www.wanttoknow.info/newenergysources)

Want to know about FREE ENERGY? LIKE TO RUN YOUR CAR ON WATER, FOR EXAMPLE? Spectacular new energy technologies were developed right along with other breakthroughs. Since then, multiple methods for producing vast amounts of energy at extremely low cost have been developed. None of these technologies have made it to the open consumer market, however. Why this is true will be discussed shortly. First, here is a short list of new energy technologies. The common feature connecting all of these discoveries is that they use a small amount of one form of energy to control or release a large amount of a different kind of energy.

Bill Hicks - political comedy

With American comedian Bill Hicks there was always an awareness of other people, of how our society links together. With this came an idealism and a vision of what the world could be. He saw himself as a flame using comedy as a weapon to expose truths and show people how governments are screwing us every day of our lives. He also happened to be achingly funny such was the accuracy of his comedy.

Question, share, celebrate. The Fatherhood Festival aims to do all this with its rich, three day program of concerts, comedy, art and conversations. These events will touch your hearts and stimulate your mind. We are an independent, not for profit organisation that believes in valuing fathers and in the power of sharing our stories. Listening to our father stories without judgement is a powerful tool for healing. It is for men who want to father, men who want to talk about their own fathers, what they have learned from them and the joy and pain they have felt. Women who want to share stories: how their fathers have shaped their lives and how fathering impacts on their own families. We have collected hundreds of childrens stories, 'Messages to Dads', telling the difference their father has made in their life by his daily presence or his absence. As men become aware of the impact they have on their children, whether they live with them or not, this creates a change in priorities in favour of children and is part of the positive social change that the festival team is supporting. See you there.
